Downtown Ocala in the 50's - Note Malevers J.C. Penney, Belks, Keystone Jewelers, Sears, Marion Hotel, Western Auto, Western Union, First National Bank.
Chicken Ranch - Located 1 block north of MRMC Hospital....a teenage hangout....another one was THE Big D which later became Mr. Hans, and is now Cactus Carwash on Pine Street.

Thanks for bringing back old memories! I was born at MRMC and raised in Anthony but graduated from Ocala High School in 1964. I currently work at John Green's law office.

I worked at this place for Mr. Cecil McClellan between 1953 and 1955, then again from 1958 - 1961. This was a second home to me. I loved it, and have many happy memories from here. Worked with, among others, Mary Jo who later married C.G, Berry,and Edith Wade, and gosh! Can't remember the other ones now. I remember another's last name was Ashton. Age does that to you. Knew most of the teenagers at that time.
